Senior Project Manager

The position of Senior Project Manager is charged with two main tasks. The first is the efficient and effective communication, coordination, support, training and encouragement of all Engineering, Production and Installation team members as needed during all project execution. The second is efficient and effective execution of all physical project coordination to meet or exceed Company designated design, quality, and timeliness standards. Essential Duties
  • Create content and coordinate Kick Off Meetings with the Acacia Team to brief on new projects and launch.
  • Oversee the production, distribution, approval and return of all project submittals.
  • Create, distribute and oversee detailed written project schedules.
  • Attend, acquire relevant updated information and offer beneficial input at client project meetings. Digest and disseminate information in a timely manner to others as required.
  • Interact and document all correspondence with clients and related personnel.
  • Manage the adherence to prescribed procedures and standards which ensures first pass quality that meets or exceeds Company goals.
  • Oversee hiring, coordination and termination of contract Installation Teams.
  • Establish, implement, and oversee all safety related policies and procedures on jobsites.
  • Assist in establishing a Company culture which strongly embraces and promotes a safe workplace.
  • Produce supplemental drawings and layouts for use by Production and Engineering departments.
  • Collaborate with lateral and senior management on elements of physical design, material selection, overall costs, resource procurement, equipment, and scheduling.
  • Receive, interpret and request pricing from Estimating and monitor progress on all requested Change
  • Orders.
  • Create, track progress and completion of project punch lists as needed.
  • Provide accurate coordination and acquire field layouts and dimensional data. Submit to Engineering and Production for final design and manufacturing.
  • Coordinate delivery and installation of change order and punch related components with Plant Manager and Installation Teams Make sure all project job costs are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Engage and complete additional Company provided training to enhance personal and professional abilities as needed.
  • Proactively involve team members in a Company culture of continuous improvement to enhance existing processes, initiate new ones and eliminate those which are ineffective.
  • Establish, implement and oversee effective programs for rewarding relevant team member’s performance which is above and beyond typical expectations (i.e. creative problem solving, extra time worked to accomplish a goal, selfless acts towards others which helped further or support another member’s abilities.
Job Qualifications
  • Minimum five years of experience in senior level project management executing high end architectural woodwork and furnishings.
  • Needs strong working knowledge of architectural millwork design, production and installation in addition to good basic knowledge of other relevant trades.
  • Must be organized and able to thoroughly document correspondence and other information using consistent methods which yield easy retrieval when needed.
  • Have thorough working knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools.
  • Has a strong understanding of financial management and highly capable of achieving production and profitability goals
  • Capable of thoroughly reading, understanding, and explaining drawings, details and specifications.
  • Needs strong time management skills and capable of training others in them as well.
  • Must be team oriented to build cross organizational consensus and cooperation.
  • Needs proven leadership ability with high professional and ethical standards.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent with various word processing applications, Excel, scheduling programs (AutoCAD is a plus).
  • Experience with Innergy is valuable. It is our primary ERP platform so fluency will become a must.
